Abigail Reilly

Neurological Physiotherapist

Abigail is a physiotherapist from Scotland, having graduated with a BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy from Robert Gordon University in 2020.

She began her career working for the NHS in the UK, where she completed rotations at one of Europe’s largest hospitals. This allowed her to gain experience in various areas including orthopaedics, musculoskeletal, intensive care, high dependency, women’s health, general medicine, and spinal cord injuries.

Her passion for Neurological Physiotherapy grew during her rotation at the National Spinal Injuries Unit in Glasgow, where she worked with patients from the acute spinal cord injury stage through to rehabilitation and discharge. Abigail uses a patient-centred, goal-oriented approach, often incorporating functional tasks into her therapy sessions.

In 2023, Abigail moved to New Zealand to continue developing her Neurological Physiotherapy skills, working in acute stroke and at the Auckland Spinal Injuries Unit.

In her spare time, Abigail enjoys running, hiking, Pilates , and exploring New Zealand’s best beaches.
