Rehabilitation Assistant
Ember is a Rehabilitation Assistant who comes to Rope Neuro Rehab with a wide and varied career background.
Ember qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2000 with a BHSc (Physiotherapy) from AUT. After a brief stint as a junior physio at Auckland Hospital, Ember spent the rest of her physio career working for the NHS in London in both hospital and community settings. It is here she gained valuable experience and an interest in neurology at the Royal Hospital for Neuro Disability in Putney.
Ember then took an 8-year break from the workforce while she raised her three children, returning to work in the NGO space for the Auckland City Mission. Ember has also worked administrating a large concussion clinic, has worked with neurodivergent children at Oaklynn Special School and has been a Health Mentor for Ignite Aotearoa.
Ember’s approach to work is always people-centered and she brings with her the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Ember is currently studying to become a Personal Trainer and is also working to get her Physiotherapy registration renewed so she can practice again as a Physiotherapist.
