Other Neurological Conditions
Neuro muscular conditions encompasses a variety of genetic or acquired conditions primarily affecting the function of the muscles. These conditions result in muscle wastage and a progressive decline in strength. Symptoms will depend on the neuromuscular disorder and which areas of the body are affected. Symptoms include:
- Muscle weakness and atrophy
- Pain
- Fatigue
- Spasm/twitching
- Rigidity
- Scoliosis
- Balance changes
- Changes in speech and swallow
- Increased difficulty with mobility and day to day tasks
