Jaimee Orellana

Neurological Physiotherapist

Jaimee graduated with a Bachelors of Health Science (Physiotherapy) from AUT University in 2011 and completed her junior and senior rotations at Waitemata District Health board. This is where she found her feet as a Physiotherapist and affirmed her interest in Neurology and Rehabilitation.

In 2016, Jaimee and her husband left New Zealand. They spent a year living and working as English Teachers in Japan and then onto the United Kingdom to gain overseas experience as a Physiotherapist and of course to do lots of travelling in Europe! She spent the next few years working mainly in East London in a Large inner city Hospital. During her time in London she worked with people with an array of Neurological and non-neurological conditions in the Acute Hospital, Inpatient Rehab and community/home settings.

Having had enough of life in London, Jaimee and her husband headed back home to New Zealand at the start of 2021.

Jaimee has a special interest in Neuro-Oncology Rehabilitation and enjoys working with people with less well known Neurological conditions. Jaimee loves working in the Neurological Rehab field as no two people with the same condition will have the same symptoms and challenges. Jaimee thinks the best part of her job is getting to know her patients and their family and working alongside them, to achieve their goals and of course having a bit of fun at the same time!

Outside of work Jaimee loves spending time with her wee dog Manny, enjoying the outdoors, baking and spending time with her friends and big family.
