Julie is a senior physiotherapist with over 20 years neuro clinical experience in the UK and New Zealand. Julie established Rope Neuro Rehabilitation in 2006 with the vision of creating a neurological clinic supporting the rehabilitation needs of the neurological population.

Julie has extensive experience within acute neurosurgical and neuromedical units, stroke rehabilitation units and community teams with both young and elderly client groups, neuro intensive care units, a brain injury assessment unit for the minimally conscious, neuro oncology and infectious diseases, vestibular rehabilitation outpatient clinic, neuro hydrotherapy, spinal cord injury rehabilitation and Parkinson community management.

Julie has passed competencies to be a certified LSVT BIG therapist and competency examinations to provide Advanced specialist vestibular rehabilitation assessment and treatment.

Julie is the National Clinical Lead and a Trustee for the Duncan Foundation founded in 2017. Www.duncanfoundation.org has a vision for New Zealanders with neuromuscular conditions to live to their maximum physical potential by providing new and essential clinical services to improve the lives of New Zealanders with neuromuscular conditions.  She strives to develop solid resources to guide clinical treatment and management needs of this population while supporting medical and health professionals

Julie is also providing and developing the allied health team for Neurogenetics Research Clinic on behalf of the Duncan foundation.
