Senior Neurological Physiotherapist

Kevin graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2011 with a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) and then moved to complete junior rotations and a senior post in the acute stroke/renal/medical unit at the Northern Hospital in Melbourne until 2014. Kevin then moved over to the United Kingdom to work specifically in neurological physiotherapy in hyper-acute, acute, outpatient and community settings in the West Midlands, Hertfordshire and London up until the end of 2018 and then back to Melbourne at a private clinic and community based neurological rehabilitation service at the beginning of 2019. Kevin has since returned back home to Auckland where he can make use of the experience and expertise gained from years of working overseas.

Kevin has had significant exposure to treating clients of all backgrounds, age groups and complex neurological conditions. He thoroughly enjoys working with neurological clients for rehabilitation due to the creative nature of treatments and is particularly passionate on therapy following stroke, brain injuries, vestibular conditions and complex neurodegenerative conditions and other progressive disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. Kevin hopes to achieve client-centred goals through a variety of treatment options for optimal functional improvement and by working closely with his clients he provides a sound education to encourage self-management and sufficiency.

Kevin is a certified LSVT BIG therapist and works with the Parkinson’s population seeing dramatic effects in mobility and function.

Kevin is also fluent in Mandarin (Chinese), knows basic Japanese and currently learning Spanish and Te Reo Māori.
